We are currently seeking an Online Community Manager to join our team.

About the Role.

The Online Community Manager will help build, grow, and manage our online communities of customers and general users by developing and maintaining a playbook for handling community engagement, such as best practices to help industry peers connect, share, and learn, all while promoting the benefits of Salary.com’s products and services. This role will work with our subject matter experts and the community to shape the future offerings.

The person will be the first point of contact for online communication and work to build brand awareness, loyalty, and relationships within our online communities. They must be detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

NOTE: This role is based out of our Waltham, MA location, but is currently remote.

Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of Salary.com by interacting with users in the Community daily.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously evolve a month-to-month community management strategy in collaboration with users and internal team members.
  • Design, plan, and execute online community events and activities to increase engagement.
  • Report monthly on the overall activity within the communities.
  • Define and drive engagement metrics.
  • Analyze the data around usage of content and use that to make recommendations about content gaps, bug fixes or features.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, User Experience and Development leads on community implementations and serve as their main point of contact in Marketing, participate in cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment on business objectives.
  • Stay current on community methodologies and trends, making recommendations for additions or changes to the Salary.com Communities.
  • Develop innovative community management practices tailored to Human Resources and Compensation Management areas.
  • Build brand awareness and loyalty within the online community, encourage engagement, and maintain usability of site.
  • Actively research industry trends and use strategy and analytics to monitor media outlets, online forums, blogs, etc., for content appropriate for the communities.
  • Serve as an industry expert and maintain deep knowledge of the evolving technology landscape and our competition.

Requirements

About you.

  • 7+ years managing a B2B or B2C online community within high growth, multi-product, SaaS companies.
  • Genuine passion for engaging with community members and a focus on end-to-end execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Technical knowledge of online systems needed to maintain an online community including managing multiple people and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret community traffic and online client engagement metrics, maintain a dashboard of activity, make recommendations based on findings.
  • Deep understanding of content and social media trends and ability to create cohesiveness across a community.
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degreepreferably in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
