The LVN is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients who are in treatment for substance use disorders; to support the program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient. The LVN will provide professional nursing care to patients according to facility policy and procedure; implement nursing care procedures, evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as necessary; will provide teaching to patients.
Requirements
Must be 21 years old or older
Education - Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.
Experience Minimum one (1) year as a LPN/LVN/LPT in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six (6) months experience in the specialized area of substance use disorders also preferred but not required.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Must obtain and maintain approved CPR certification.
