Firstleaf/Penrose Hill is looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to report directly to our Sr. Director, Supply Chain. In this multi-faceted role you will support executing the inventory management strategy across the supply chain for bulk wine and dry goods. You'll also be leading communication of forecasts to the 3PL fulfillment centers and work with large data sets to be able to root cause inventory issues by utilizing and breaking down large sets of data.



A few examples will illustrate some of your challenges

  • Design and implement inventory control/tracking processes and identify systems functional requirements to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Propose recommendations to reduce inventory costs and optimize safety stock and lead times
  • Work with the Logistics team to build an optimal inventory management process to track and report depletions
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure that capacity, demand and distribution are aligned to meet the customer’s needs and to effectively drive the use of existing resources
  • Developing and using returned inventory data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee the timely entry of daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory
  • Define, oversee the development, and preparation of detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, adjustments, shipments, and receipts into our 3PL

Requirements

  • 5+ years working in supply chain/inventory management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain discipline or equivalent
  • Experience with building inventory controls and processes from scratch a plus
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, ERP systems (preferablyOracle NetSuite), and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficient at working in Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of receiving and inventory control
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
