Summary

The Events amp; Development intern will develop an understanding of the Endeavor mission through the lens of events amp; marketing; learn how events and branding relates to what our attendees, Endeavor Entrepreneurs, affiliate offices, and outsiders perceive of Endeavor; assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of the virtual Endeavor Gala and support the correlating fundraising efforts; and develop organizational, communication, and planning skills that will translate not only in events and marketing, but also in coursework and future careers. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

Fundraising

  • Assist with donor management, revenue tracking, and outreach efforts for Endeavor Gala
  • Assist in writing, editing, and deploying Save the Date and subsequent follow up campaigns
  • Support management of donor lists in Salesforce and MailChimp
  • Help deploy invoices and formal donation letters to donors
  • Learn how to implement digital and social marketing campaigns

Event Logistics

    • Assist with coordination of event materials and virtual event preparation
    • Assist in developing engaging, interactive, and virtual program that highlights Endeavor Entrepreneurs
    • Attend and support creative meetings with internal Marketing team and external vendors and production companies
    • Help prepare pre-event materials including: agendas, sponsorship materials, presentation decks
    • Create and help manage project timelines, staffing outlines, and other event-related documents
    • Assist with event communication strategy to ensure attendees have similar event expectations worldwide

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, international development, events, or business
  • Excellent written communication skills; knows how to tell a good story across different mediums
  • Creativity and an eye for design

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Access to a computer; this is a remote internship
  • This is an unpaid, educational internship available only to students, including those who graduated in the semester immediately prior to their start date
  • Must be a student attending an institution of learning with courses leading to a degree, certificate or diploma - or - you were a student during the preceding semester or have not yet graduated


Nature of Work
  • Interns tackle non-complex projects that have core guidance of a supervisor; Projects usually encompass the collaboration or support in the creation of platforms/frameworks/studies and not routine work. It's crucial that students get a chance to learn while working.
  • Interns learn to follow workflows and prioritize their tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Interns are responsible for specific tasks provided by direct supervisors and check in with more experienced colleagues or their manager when they are unsure or unable to make a decision or solve a problem.
  • The problems that interns solve are directly related to the project that they have been assigned.
  • Interns support their teammates by completing assigned tasks on time, helping others, and communicating about their workload with their manager.
  • Interns work with immediate teammates, their manager, and on occasion, select cross-functional partners outside of their work team.
