Job Description

We are looking for a Digital Product Strategist to join our Marketing team to build strategy for our consumer facing products, including the LA Clippers website and mobile products, and provide in-depth evaluation of user insights and data to help drive business decisions.

Product Strategist will develop and document the Clippers’ product roadmap, assess the best technical approach to execute projects, evaluate vendors, and provide recommendations to the marketing and technology leadership teams. Product Strategist is also responsible for user experience design, quality assurance, web experience programming, testing, and administration of all brand initiatives on the Clippers website and mobile app.

This role requires an ambitious, dynamic individual who can see strategy through from development to implementation. The right candidate have experience developing product strategy from insights, identifying revenue-driving opportunities across consumer facing digital products, and a strong capacity to present strategy to senior level staff. It is also important to have deep expertise with current front-end technologies: React.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.

This is a full-time position based in our DTLA office. In accordance with public health guidelines, we are currently working remotely and anticipate onboarding new staff in a remote environment.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and handle the Clippers' digital properties across web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop and prioritize Clippers’ fan experience and product roadmap.
  • Optimize the Clippers’ digital platforms for revenue, fan growth, and increased conversion.
  • Supervise the quality and integrity of the Clippers brand on website and mobile.
  • Own UX/UI for all brand initiatives. This includes creating wireframes, working with the creative team to develop content, and implementing the digital experience.
  • Create clean and valid code for modularity and reusability.
  • Create and oversee style guides and design standards for site pages.
  • Utilize the Clippers' internal project management system to streamline internal processes and supervise production requests.
  • Lead data capture and content tracking solutions to monitor web and mobile performance.
  • Provide insight on best in class digital activations and identify revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Remain up-to-date on league trends and best in class examples as well as Drupal updates and league API capabilities.
  • Implement and review processes around game-day responsibilitieslead game-day operations team for web and app.
  • Report progress and manage the timely delivery of assets crucial to project completions.
  • Provide technical recommendations for project ideas as set by Marketing leadership.
  • Conduct an always-on testing and deployment strategy on web and mobile.
Your Background, Skills, and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead projects from strategy to execution.
  • Experience with responsive design to build a single site for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Up-to-date with current Internet standards, including cross-browser styling and optimizations (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari).
  • Experience with WordPress, Drupal, and Rover, or similar CMS platforms.
  • High proficiency with Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Adobe XD.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas in a digestible, collaborative fashion.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors, such as Compass and SASS.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and headless CMS platforms.
  • Experience in version control management such as Git, CVS, or SVN.
  • Ability to integrate third-party components.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
  • Familiar with social media APIs include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
  • Willing to work a flexible and dynamic work schedule that accommodates the stakeholders' needs and demands regarding project requests.
  • High level of personal integrity and professional ethics.
  • Effective decision-making skills while utilizing sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated dedication with the ability to lead projects from origin through execution.
