Our Client is an award-winning experiences and media company that shares the world’s hidden wonders in-person and online. Founded in 2009, they created the definitive, community-driven online guide to the world's most incredible places. They closed a $20M Series B funding round in September 2019.
They are hiring a Digital Product Designer to join their growing Product team. This role will be responsible for creating engaging online user experiences and for providing thoughtful design solutions to grow our business. You have a passion for inspiring, elegant, forward-thinking visual design and an enthusiasm for prototyping, user research, and interaction design.
This role will report to the Head of Design and will be an essential member of our Agile product team.
Responsibilities
- Own the user experience for all digital touch points including the website, email, customer support, notifications, and more.
- Prototype and then validate solutions with external users.
- Collaborate with our product managers and engineers in all phases of product development, from discovery to delivery to iteration.
- Work closely with teams across the company to solve a range of design challenges.
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience successfully designing digital products in an Agile product development environment.
- Experience creating an inspiring user experience for desktop and mobile devices as well as native mobile apps.
- Expertise with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with and contributing to a design system.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently share your work at any stage of your process with a variety of internal audiences.
- Robust prototyping skills and user research experience.
- Fantastic visual design skills (e.g.; layout, composition, typography, color) showcased through a refined and inspiring portfolio
- A willingness to give and receive feedback and an openness to follow creative direction.
