Responsibilities
  • Receives materials and accurately places them in inventory using a web-based accounting and inventory software
  • Examines materials received to ensure quality and compliance with Nexelis specifications.
  • Maintains organization within all inventoried locations, ensuring the optimal utilization of space
  • Returns damaged or errantly sent items in a timely manner
  • Carries out period counts of inventoried material
  • Removes used items from the inventory system in a timely manner
  • Communicates with the laboratory, accounting, and vendors regarding the status of incoming materials
  • Removes and disposes expired materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of centralized inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and project planning, material planning, and related inventory systems.
  • Basic knowledge of buying and ordering procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems that support production, e.g., inventory control, purchasing, and project scheduling.
  • Sufficient language and writing skills to prepare reports and procedure descriptions.
  • Sufficient math skills to compute sums, products, and prepare estimates and sequences.
  • Sufficient human relations skills to train others, work cooperatively with all levels of staff, and work with vendors.
  • High School diploma.
  • 1+ years of inventory control and materials management experience.
