Job Description

Department Overview

The Dealership Account Management department works with the Hyundai Regional Retail Clients to identify business needs and translate to clear assignments for the agency team. The Account team works with agency departments, as well as Canvas Worldwide to develop internal creative briefs and media POVs, guide processes, and manage client relationships (including review/approval and project status along the way). This team is also responsible for managing budgets/timing and ensuring all assignments deliver on business needs and meet client expectations and deadlines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Regional Account Supervisor who will be responsible for increasing day-to-day agency service to build strong dealer relationships and grow retail business on behalf of the agency. In addition, develop and implement plans to identify advertising strategies, assess market potential, and outline targeted activities to maximize revenue opportunities and penetrate market share with solutions.

This role will eventually need to be based in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily contact with regional clients and dealers within the dealer ad associations; travel up to 75% of the time (currently no travel is required until further notice due to COVID-19)
  • Develop clear and thorough plans for each of the assigned HDAA markets detailing all relevant information about an account, sales performance, and its specific dealer feedback to help strategically determine marketing tactics
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships at all levels, and act as liaison between IWA and our clients in order to provide superior service and solutions
  • Create and implement effective account/territory plans that include; developing and implementing a sales strategy considering new business growth, managing all resources necessary to drive new business; forecasting revenue; developing key contacts and business relationships within HDAA accounts, including competitive offerings that help to position advertising plans
  • Develop strategic sales/advertising plans to identify and track trends, recognize opportunities, target specific local market activities, and analyze competitive threats
  • Complete field reports to effectively communicate client questions and/or implement timely solutions, with heavy emphasis on follow-up to validate credibility with IWA
  • Consults with field team, creative, media, production, and research staffs to be certain client objectives are clearly understood and then to develop alternative strategic solutions
  • Review Tier 3 Websites and works with client to help improve the day to day consumer experience

Requirements

  • Must have advertising agency experience with an automotive client
  • 4+ years of automotive account management experience required, experience managing T2 regional automotive account required; superior communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant curriculum or equivalent experience
  • Must have knowledge of and experience with regional and dealership operations; ability to think both analytically and proactively
  • Must have working knowledge of all media types in order to consult with regional and dealer clients
  • Strong time management, organizational and project management skills; Ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities
  • Computer proficiency, especially the MS Office Suite
  • Must be able to multi-task, collaborate well, deal well with stress and be willing to work late when needed
