Job Description

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the church’s digital and live communication strategy, and executes the content marketing operations for the church across all content categories, content audiences, and content channels.

Requirements

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Represents and upholds the culture of Church of the City by demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and learning posture.
Attends assigned staff meetings, events, retreats, vision days, and all specialized mandatory events. Meet monthly with entire staff team (times and hours TBD).
Designs frequency and rhythms of communication across all content categories including Event Promotion, Evergreen (the embodied vision and values of Church of the City), and Storytelling (testimonies of God’s transforming work).
Executes marketing operations across all digital, live, and internal communications channels including Instagram, Sunday Stage: create internal system for announcement request workflow, Email Newsletter, Website, etc.
Upholds the editorial voice and tone of Church of the City across all communications.
Builds and leads a volunteer communications and marketing team.


Supervisory Responsibilities: Possibly volunteer teams, IC’s, other staff.
