About 500 Startups Ecosystems Team

The Ecosystems team contributes to 500 Startups' mission of developing innovation ecosystems around the world. We partner with corporates, investors, governments, and foundations to train and connect investors, startups, and corporate executives to our global tech-focused community and experts. Some of our hallmark programs include startup accelerators, startup bootcamps, investor education, bootcamp for accelerator managers, and corporate-startup engagement. 500 Startups also works to encourage best practices surrounding innovation to create positive and thriving global innovation ecosystems.


What You Will Do

This position is a remote contract role for 3-4 months, tentatively between April-August. This role will be the key to a successful accelerator program. You will be responsible for the daily success of the program creating a positive experience for all participants. Please note that the program in question is a fully-remote accelerator program delivered in Spanish. Responsibilities will range from community management to logistical support. You will report to the program manager responsible for the overall program and account management. You will be responsible for performing administrative duties, support with virtual events and remote management. You will be expected to be available at all accelerator and virtual event times scheduled for the duration of the program. You will be interacting with mentors and up-and-coming startups on a daily basis.


Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Participate in the weekly syncs with the accelerator team
  • Conduct outreach and help to recruit founders for the program
  • Manage incoming questions about the program from founders, and ecosystem players
  • Coordinate and manage Office Hours between the mentors and the founders/startups
  • Plan and execute virtual social events for the batch
  • Coordinate and oversee daily remote management
  • Source and coordinate local industry speakers and investors to guest speak virtually for the accelerator, per the Program Manager’s request
  • Send weekly batch emails (updates; housekeeping; next week’s events; new mentors; various deadlines, etc.)
  • Assist in prep for a virtual Showcase Event, working with the startups, partners and vendors as needed
  • Assist in delivery of the Virtual Showcase, ensuring everything and everyone are managed accordingly
