We are looking for an entrepreneurial Continuous Improvement Specialist in our TX FC in Dallas which will be responsible for studying existing processes and looks for ways to increase efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality and safety protocols are met. This role will educate employees on continuous improvement principles and practices in order to drive process improvement, and report to Operations Excellence Manager TX FC.

What will you be doing:

  • Support cultural transformation within the Business Improvement Plan and Strategy.
  • Support the plant continuous improvement roadmap
  • Be a resource for operations, in support of delivering the business objectives.
  • Support the FC teams through facilitation and participation of advanced problem solving techniques
  • Be a resource for operations and other FC departments in support of delivering the business objectives
  • Implementation of Lean projects, including: application of lean tools to eliminate waste, workstation design, mock trials, fabrication, plant organizing, markings and labels, time studies, documentation, presentations. Apply Lean activities and tools to the day-to-day business.
  • Lead participants of Kaizen workshops, training sessions, committee projects, etc.
  • Educate, coach, and challenge process owners in the use of lean and statistical tools, approaches and techniques to create process management and measurement systems.
  • Drive safety, quality and efficiency measures through proactive problem resolution, follow-up and follow-through.
  • Implement the standardized continuous improvement toolbox
  • Coach, facilitate and participate in plant shop floor teams to continuously improve performance and quality, leverage Information, and create a visual workplace
  • Develop and participate in continuous improvement auditing at all levels of the organization. Make recommendations and drive to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Identify and focus on short and long-term wins that will transform the culture and produce results.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis of significant People, Process, Equipment related downtime events in FC location; implementing permanent corrective actions to mitigate probability of recurrence
  • Be a leader within the Continuous Improvement organization engage the workforce, demonstrate effective team facilitation skills to engage the various teams to deliver improvement results on time
  • Spend 75% of working time at Gemba (on the plant floor) focusing on employee engagements and teaching the lean concepts.

Requirements

Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2+ years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing Lean, kaizen/six sigma, TPM events, and driving lean transformation with proven results and implementations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills, must be comfortable teaching and presenting to large groups at all levels of the organization from shop floor to CEO.
  • Must be proficient in Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially with Excel and in various analysis tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiar with CI principles and tools.
  • Ability to write a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Problem solving techniques.
  • Organized, disciplined, and motivated to succeed
