Job Description
The Data Analytics SME shall have senior level experience and expertise to be able to perform acquisition, management, manipulation, and analysis of complex data sets. They shall have Technical expertise to complete data modeling and database design development.
Requirements
- Must understand the data manipulations within CMS so that any data manipulations being done to bring the data into MDM, stored into MDM, and presented out of MDM will be assured and validated by the MDM data analytical lead.
- Possess an advanced understanding of efficient manipulation of XML and other standard file formats, the ability to build and maintain temporary databases or data structures necessary to analyze and troubleshoot issues with current and planned data sources.
- Lead in establishing and operating a data analytics function to analyze and evaluate incoming data from many disparate data sources to inform data modeling and ETL design decisions for large data integration projects.
- Ensure that the contractor retains proper data domain knowledge across data and business analysis resources.
- Ability to interpret data linkages, hierarchies, sequencing, and nuances in new data sources.
- Advanced experience with SAS, SPSS, or other statistical packages is desirable for analyzing large datasets.
- Advanced SQL programming skills.
- Adept at ad hoc queries and report writing.
- Advanced experience in developing graphs, ad hoc reports, and presentations of project results.
- Ability to perform basic statistical analyses.
- Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Experience in data mining techniques and procedures is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline, Master’s degree preferred.
