They specialize in IT Solutions, Managed Services Delivery (MSD), and Problem Exploration and Solutioning. They are currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer to work on their customer solutions projects.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of test events in accordance with approved test plans, procedures, and scripts. You will utilize your knowledge and skills to ensure that test environments are set up accurately. You will also test IT hardware, software, systems, and networks and create test reports.
Additional Position Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Test Engineers and Test Planners/Managers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
- Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Develop and troubleshoots complex automated scripts.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Oversee all test events and manage multiple test events defining and staffing these test events with appropriate resources.
- Configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
- Manage the defect database.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr, LoadRunner), Jira, Rational and SQL is a plus.
- Experience with test driven development is a plus.
- Experience with modern Department of Veterans Affairs tools such as Slack, Zenhub, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Pega, Fortify, Copado, Jenkins, Prometheus, PagerDuty and GitHub is a plus.
