We are a Service Disabled Veteran/Woman Owned Small Business, partners with large U.S. Government Contractors in the D.C. area. They specialize in IT Solutions, Managed Services Delivery (MSD), and Problem Exploration and Solutioning. They are currently looking for military veterans with Java Developer experience to work on their customer solutions projects.

As a Developer, you will analyze customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. You will also be responsible for debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
This is a fully remote position!

Additional Position Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of the program, infrastructure, architecture, and business model.
• Create and maintain database schemas to support business processes.
• Write clean, well designed code.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Follow industry best practices.
• Develop and deploy new features, procedures, and tools.
• Be an active participant on an Agile Software team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Java Development experience required.
• Proven experience with cloud-based Services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.)
• Experience with modern Department of Veterans Affairs tools such as Slack, Zenhub, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Pega, Fortify, Copado, Jenkins, Prometheus, PagerDuty and GitHub is a plus.
