About the Role:We are looking for a proactive, high energy Business Intelligence Director, to help streamline BI initiatives by making strategic decisions, prioritize and successfully execute them. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, Product and Technology teams and manage a team of BI Analysts. Superior communications are a must for this role, as you would be expected to interpret technical concepts and translate them for a non-technical audience. Success in this role depends on your ability to understand our data and business challenges, and translate those items into actionable technical strategy using Business Intelligence.What You'll Do:- Directly manage, conduct 1:1 with, and evaluate performance of BI analysts and/or developers
- Manage the workloads and priorities of BI team
- Create mocks, and designs for BI dashboards and present to the management team
- Track requests and communicate priorities, ROI, and status of initiatives to management team on a weekly basis
- Develop and promote analytical, reporting and business intelligence solutions through the use of engineering and statistical methods, using Python/SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
- Work with engineers, sales, operations and business leaders to understand reporting requirements and build new metrics and dashboards.
- Introduce and Implement new metrics and KPI's for understanding various aspects of the business (Finance/Sales and Operations)
- Back test solutions, provide impact analysis by providing verifiable results in the form of dashboards, Python, Jupyter notebooks and other reports.
- Build new datasets based on Data warehousing principles using Snowflake cloud data warehouse
- Create scorecards and KPI indicators in the form of Business Intelligence dashboards (Domo BI platform).
- Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries
What You Have:- Bachelor’s Degree
- Sound understanding of the MarTech landscape
- 8+ years of related professional experience in BI
- 8+ years of experience in data visualization libraries
- 5+ years of experience working in both SQL and Python programming languages
- 3+ years of direct management experience
- Experience working with large disparate data sets
- Working knowledge of Domo, Tableau, Looker or other cloud based BI tools (Domo is preferred)
- Working knowledge of data modeling concepts
