Role

Research Associate I, Bioinformatics

Responsibilities

  • With supervision and oversight, execute and interpret transcriptomic and genomic studies in support of ongoing pre-clinical scientific questions.
  • Employ standard computational approaches to enhance drug discovery efforts
  • Support the building of new computational infrastructure within a fast paced and dynamic discovery environment.
  • Opportunity to contribute to design and analysis of advanced transcriptomic and multi-omics projects in the context of cardiac diseases.
  • Present findings in both small and large group company meetings

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology or a computationally intensive biomedical research-related field with relevant coursework and demonstrated experience.
  • Prior experience in bioinformatics is strongly desired but not necessary
  • General familiarity with R, Python, and Linux computing environment is expected
  • An interest in learning about cardiovascular development amp; disease
  • A positive attitude and ability to build open and collaborative relationships
  • Effective at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and a keen attention to details
