Job Description

Uppercase is looking for a Paid Social Buyer to join our advertising team. This role functions as the quarterback for our client’s paid social strategy. If you have an analytical mind and have a passion for ecommerce and entrepreneurship, this role is for you!

What you’ll do:
  • You will act as a strategist and advisor to our clients. At Uppercase, we typically liaise directly with brand founders or with Director of Marketing / CMO roles. You’ll be driving the growth strategy for up-and-coming e-commerce brands like Kenny Flowers, Omsom and Maison Miru.
  • Analyze amp; optimize. Go deep on data. You’ll be diving into each of your client’s ad accounts daily to shift budgets, set up new strategies and make sense of the ad data trends you’re seeing.
  • You’ll communicate your analysis of campaign results with clients and map out next steps.
  • You’ll be responsible for writing compelling direct response advertising copy.
  • You’ll strategically plan audience segments to A/B test and help interpret audience results to inform your clients and help paint a detailed picture of who their audience is.
  • You’ll keep a pulse on e-commerce social ad creative trends and liaise with Uppercase Art Directors to build world-class social creative.
  • You’ll project manage and keep all client campaigns on strict timelines and budgets.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related field (required) and 2 to 5 years working directly with e-commerce brands.
  • Identify as a balance of right brain / left brain. You’re a pro at analyzing data, budgeting and optimizing based on ad trends, and you also enjoy building high-level digital ad strategy and have an appreciation for strong ad creative and creative trends.
  • Be able to manage large ad budgets for brands generating up to $25 mil in yearly revenue.
  • Have a proven ability to plan, strategize, build, optimize and scale paid social ad campaigns (Facebook Blueprint Certification is a huge plus).
  • Be an Excel pro and reporting pro.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex marketing scenarios into easily digestible information for clients.
  • Enjoy thinking strategically about consumer psychology.
  • Be relentlessly organized, and skilled at keeping up in a fast-paced work environment.

What Does Success Look Like?
  • Day to Day - You’re on top of all your accounts, and optimize them daily. You’re organized and proactive in planning a full-funnel ad strategy, and you keep the projects moving and clients informed. You collaborate with the design team to push our client’s creative further. If an account is underperforming, you come ready with new strategies to try, and you confidently execute those strategies. If an account is hitting goals, you’re able to scale sustainably.
  • 3 months - You’re confident in owning your client accounts. You’re fully up to speed on account strategy, and you’ve formed relationships with the clients you manage. You’re beginning to identify account opportunities and pitfalls, and strategizing accordingly.
  • 6 months - You’re able to put past learnings into action to drive account strategy. You integrate with the accounts and design teams to become a leader in presenting new creative and optimization strategies.
