eCommerce Photography Stylist

Job Description
The eCommerce Stylist, will work side-by-side with photographers to collaboratively produce great photography, styled and merchandised according to the client style guides in a fast paced studio. They are developing their craft and should have a strong desire to learn their client’s brands. They will prepare merchandise for photography as well as assist in the on-set styling of products. The Stylist should have a love for the fashion and retail industries and a passion to coordinate garments and accessories with the intention of creating consumer demand to purchase. They will be able to take direction and thrive in a fast-paced studio environment and be required to think through problems to arrive at quick decisions. Primary focus is Soft Styling, Ghost Mannequin and Accessory with option to work with On Model Sets as needed and schedule permitting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate apparel and merchandise products.
- Apply knowledge of current industry trends.
- Support with unpack and transport product to sets.
- Prepare products for photography by steaming, ironing, assembling, cleaning and styling.
- Return completed product to proper location for return to client.
- Ensure garments, accessories and styling supplies are cleaned and organized after every shoot.
- Study and learn client styling guides and procedures; create and update as needed.
- Take direction from the lead stylist or photographer.
- Understand client brand(s) differentiators and tailor skills to fit that visual style.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional fashion styling and/or merchandising.
- Strong styling judgment and sense of fashion.
- Ability to recognize styling trends.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Knowledge of the Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
- Familiar with basic office productivity software (MS Word, Excel, email, etc.)
- Familiar with photography and video production.
- Associates degree in the visual communications field or significant experience in fashion, retail commerce merchandising or interior design.
