Saleae is a small team working to revolutionize hardware debug, validation, amp; automated test for 100,000+ engineers. Help us build an amazing product a product that’s delightful, humanistic, and profoundly useful something we’ll all look back on with deep satisfaction amp; pride.
You'll work most closely with Ryan, Mark, John, Neel, and Tanveer wonderful people who’ll bring out the best in you; people who are genuine, humble, kind, smart, and driven.
You will have ownership over expansive areas of the product, and influence over all of it. You and the rest of the software team decide who will do what, the tech-stack amp; architecture roadmap, and how best to work together in the pursuit of engineering excellence.

Your Role
You will be one of 10 extremely talented Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers building our next-generation platform. You will personally own a very large amp; directly-user-facing portion of that effort. The precise role depends on the evolving needs of the team and your particular passions and skills.
- Write primarily in Typescript and/or C++
- Architect and build a truly great product
- Real time, bare-metal-fast C++ data processing, storage amp; search pipeline
- Buttery smooth data visualization amp; interaction
- Powerful amp; high performance extension ecosystem
- Very high standards for user experience, visual design, and extensions developer experience.
Requirements
- Evidence of exceptional ability in the domain of software development
- A track record of success in roles where the buck stopped with you
- One of these:
- Javascript amp; web development, especially as related to complex UI.
- -or-
- Modern C++ (C++11 and up) amp; Multithreading, especially as related to high performance computing.
- You’re an advocate for unit testing, code review, and CI.

The Challenge
- Extreme version of full stack: ADC FPGA ARM USB 3 C++17 Data Processing Pipeline Electron Data Visualization, Search, amp; Extensions
- Real time processing, visualization, amp; search of 300 MB/s on single machine;
- Bare-metal-fast C++ data processing pipeline - ‘all cores all the time’; threading, caching, SIMD, Zero overhead abstraction, etc; use amp; management of all available memory.
- 60 fps, buttery smooth data visualization - interactive data navigation, annotation, amp; overlay
- Intuitive, powerful, amp; feature rich application; Super fast search amp; filtering of real time data
- Extensibility; Customer in-app code editing and debugging; Run-time cloud compilation; GitHub integration / in-app extensions marketplace; Cross-language interop
Benefits
