Parts Counter Sales/Delivery Driver

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for greeting customers and sales prospects, determining needs, entering orders, processing payments, and assisting with walk-out/loading (approx. 80%) Position also drives a Pickup Truck and trailer to deliver customer orders (approx. 20%)

Essential Function:

• Greet walk-in and telephone customers.
• Determine needs and offer solutions
• Enter data for customer accounts, invoices, returns etc
• Pulls/assembles customer orders
• Process payments for outgoing orders
• Prepare customer quotes
• Check vehicle to ensure proper safety, and operational requirements are met
• Report vehicle defects, traffic violations, accidents or vehicle damage
• Verify accuracy of load/delivery related documents
• Maintain logs of work/driving hours as required by state and federal regulations
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions safely
• Loading freight for delivery and for will call customers using forklift
• Unloading trucks
• Inventory management
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned
• Working with team members to make sure essential daily tasks are completed
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods
• Self-starter with strong time management
• Able to prioritize and use sound judgement
• Forklift experience or certification
• Class A DOT license with clean MVD record

Experience and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• College education is a plus
• Background in agriculture, pest control, or spray application desirable
