Johnson Electric, Springfield, Tennessee, is excited to announce an internship program in our Supply Chain Services Department for a part-time buyer. This is a paid internship for 90 days working 20 hours per week. This position is local to Springfield, Tennessee. We are looking for local candidates.
The intern will work with our MRO Buyer in the Springfield Plant by learning the Mapics system, spare inventory, and regular purchasing process for spare parts.
- Entering new spare part information into Mapics system
- Obtain quote from vendor for spare parts
- Check price when/if necessary
- Issue and organize the spare part PO in the share folder and obtaining approval
- Send approved PO and get confirmation form vendor
- Any standardized work related to spare parts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate program at an accredited college
- Preferred Majors: Merchandising, Business Administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Productive time management skills
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
