Job Summary

The Acquisitions Associate role serves as an entry level role into commercial real estate sales and transactions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the research and new business generation of self-storage investment real estate for purchase by Spartan Investment Group. You will support a team of investment professionals by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive property research, while simultaneously being trained in core sales skills to become successful in commercial real estate. The Acquisitions Associate will consistently make a tangible impact on the organization by generating millions of new business pipeline each year and is instrumental in our continued growth.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Investments, you will have unparalleled access and mentorship at one of the nation’s fastest growing real estate companies. You will have access to a proprietary database of property owners, as well as a variety of research tools. Being part of a small team with an incredible track record, you will be able to shape your role and request resources as you see fit to produce the best results.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities:

  • 50-100 calls per day to property owners in an effort to source off-market self-storage real estate for purchase, wholesale, or list by building relationship directly with sellers
  • Complete thorough market research by collecting and databasing new property data into Salesforce, a customer relationship management (CRM) software specifically designed for Spartan’s business development efforts
  • Network at industry events, build digital business development funnels, develop direct mail campaigns, and create other effective strategies to be successful
  • Opportunity to participate in or observe the constructing of the capital stack, private equity raise, and operations of self-storage real estate

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Experience in cold calling, sales, and/or entrepreneurship
  • Self-starter with the proven ability to work proficiently as part of a team
  • Passionate about commercial real estate

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range $40,000 - $50,000 annually, health/dental/vision benefits, 401k, profit sharing, unlimited PTO, flex office hours, wellness amp; transportation reimbursement, annual ski pass, continuing education reimbursement, and other perks with an all-star team and culture.

Uncapped Commission and Bonus program based on individual results, while also profiting from the Company’s long-term success.
