Day and Night Shift Available

Marley Spoon is bringing delightful, market fresh and easy cooking back to the people. Our chefs create inspiring and mouth watering recipes every week. Our customers select what they would like to cook and we deliver the recipes and all the ingredients they need. We use technology to reinvent the food supply chain while reducing unethical food waste and directly connecting consumers with quality producers. In order to achieve this, we are solving challenging problems in taste profiling, behavior prediction and real-time logistics.

But in the end it's simple: We started Marley Spoon because we love cooking and we love eating.

We are looking for an Inventory Senior Associate who will report to the Inventory Team Lead.

Expectations of the role:

  • Work close with the Inventory Team Lead.
  • Be a visible role model, promote a safety culture and leadership behaviors.
  • Manages inventory levels; stays within stock targets and actively identifies stock outs and reduces surplus based on forecast, lead time and safety stock.
  • Communicate inventory needs and overstock situation to the Procurement and Inventory Manager in timely manner
  • Ensure quality of incoming goods into inventory (Food and Non-Food)
  • Communicate delivery issues with suppliers
  • Schedule and execute weekly physical inventory counts for all Food and Non-Food items
  • Ensure proper stock rotation according to shelf life and best before dates
  • Space Management: manage shelve organization, space allocation and proper storage of inventory across the FC including cool rooms, ambient area and repacking rooms
  • Foresee and ensure availability of goods for min. 2 production weeks in advance
  • Monitor non-food (packaging) items and forecast accordingly
  • Work with different teams (Production, Procurement, FSQA, Supply Chain amp; Logistics).
  • Be ready to help on the floor wherever is needed.
Data maintenance
  • Properly record inbound and outbound inventory with support of check-in teams
  • Identify, and correct any stock discrepancy in a timely manner and informs Inventory Manager
  • Assess, evaluate and record post production food waste
Internal Communications
  • Procurement daily to setup proper ordering cycles and volumes
  • Production daily with check-in teams

Requirements

  • Hands on attitude.
  • Able to drive forklift (or willing to learn - we can provide a license).
  • Critical thinking and problem solve skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a small but collaborative team.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and take direction in English
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 49 pounds repetitively
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Exposure to temperatures that range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.) (0-40 F)
  • Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach above and below shoulders; repetitive use of hands
  • Must be able to work with Allergens
  • Must be able to work weekends
