Fire Sprinkler Technician

• Test and inspect water-based fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA 25 (Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems). The systems consist primarily of foam/water and water sprinkler systems in petroleum and chemical processing and storage/distribution facilities. Service technician will also test and inspect the following equipment: Fire pumps and fixed foam discharge devices. Foam Technology to provide the necessary training to perform these tasks.
• Ensure customers are serviced to the highest level of satisfaction through quality service, knowledge and training.
• Completes inspections reports neatly and in a timely fashion.
• Reviews inspection results with the customer.
• Maintains equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working order.
• Knows/Learns the codes for inspection and testing of water-based fire protection sprinkler systems. Stays current with code requirements and industry changes.
• Interfaces closely with the Service Manager to ensure that the customer receives the scheduled work as promised.
• Travel to different customer sites on daily basis.

Requirements

• 2+ year of experience as a fire sprinkler technician.
• Service and repair overhead fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues during service calls.
• Able to perform small tenant improvements.
• Knowledge of NFPA 25 and 13.
• California Sprinkler Fitter Certificate is preferred.
• Fire Pump, Dry, pre-action, deluge, Underground, copper and CPVC is a plus.
• Tenant improvement and new construction experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
