Overview

Pedago is seeking a Director of Salesforce and Business Solutions to lead the IT and CRM functions. This is a newly created position, reporting to the CTO/Co-founder. You will be in charge of building a team to implement our nascent Salesforce CRM and FinancialForce ERP, as well as oversee our technology operations and internal support through management of our MSP. This is a hands-on leader that is responsible for core technology platforms supporting a rapidly growing business

The ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated individual with a startup mindset who thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment. This person must have exceptional resource management and prioritization skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Additionally, this leader translates business requirements into actionable plans, programs, and strategies.

Requirements

Build and Manage Salesforce Systems Development Team

  • Lead the initial implementation of our Salesforce CRM and FinancialForce ERP
  • Work with internal staff, project managers, and an implementation partner to ensure that development activities align with project priorities, timelines, and best practices
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and managers to ensure project plans accurately account for all technical and staffing concerns for all development projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate progress and forecast reporting to project managers, stakeholders, and leadership. Report changes to plan on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that resources assigned to Salesforce tasks and activities complete all assignments on time and meet expectations. Recognize when staff are struggling and provide proactive guidance and coaching to help all staff rise to expectations and capabilities.
  • Establish and manage on-going maintenance and support policies, procedures, and tasks. Work seamlessly with other teams and project managers to ensure both maintenance and project work is well coordinated and communicated.

Manage system integration and IT teams

  • Work with other teams (data management, implementation partners, project managers, etc.) to coordinate all aspects of integration development tasks and activities. Provide guidance on the Salesforce technology and educate external team members on Salesforce best practices when integrating data to/from external systems.
  • Ensure that all solution development complies with established standards and best practices.
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
  • Manage MSP relationship for internal IT support
  • Control budget and report on expenditure

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
  • Candidates should be knowledgeable in the areas of IT and computer systems, with significant experience in selection, implementation, and integration of vendor systems.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology software system development and project management
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and managing Salesforce service and/or sales cloud teams
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a consultative role with the CTO and all members of the Technology team.
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Salesforce certifications (Architecture, Development Lifecycle, Integration, Nonprofit Cloud) a plus
