Job Description

Key Responsibilities amp; Accountabilities:

  • Develop and advance the iPSC Engineering Platform for the generation and selection of genetically engineered iPSC clones
  • Lead the generation of master cell banks to be used to produce clinical material adhering to GMP principles
  • Maintain close interactions with the iPSC expansion and differentiation teams as well as CMC/manufacturing, and QA/QC groups
  • Participate in efforts with external collaborator projects
  • Create, analyze, and present on results and make recommendations to therapeutic project teams, external collaborators, and senior leadership
  • Stay current with the iPSC literature, external competitors, and the global scientific community, especially as it relates to cell-based therapeutic development

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Capabilities:

  • Experience with mammalian Cell Line Development, master cell bank creation for biologics production (eg CHO, HEK293, etc), cell-based therapies (eg: iPSC, healthy donor allogenic), or similar therapeutic applications
  • Familiarity with cellular engineering, not necessarily CRISPR/CAS, but genetically modifying cell lines, clonal isolation, and screening
  • Experience with CMC/manufacturing, Cell Line Development and clean room operations
  • Experience leading scientific and technical teams
  • Strong background and scientific acumen demonstrated by education, publications, career progression, and accomplishment

Education amp; Relevant Work Experience:

  • PhD or advanced degree in cell biology, molecular biology, or related field, with greater than 1-3 years of industry experience
