Responsible to manage the quality team to ensure all production lines follow the Plant Quality System, thru a detail inspection in the floor and electronic system that all product variable data comply 100% with six sigma process. Coordinate, inform and guide plant teams in the improvements, analysis and corrective interim action to support Customers expectations. Strong participation in New Projects to follow the APQP process to ensure feasible product go into plant manufacturing process.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality Management System Representative, monitoring at all times the adherence and respect to the procedures and guidelines defined.
- Assure that all processes conform with the Quality Management Manual and procedures.
- Coordinate the internal audits schedule and execution, including the closure of non-compliances found.
- Ensure the execution of the calibration program for all the measurement and test instruments existing in the company.
- Develop control and inspection plan based on PFMEA and process flow diagram.
- Attend and ensure the timely response to our customers' complaints, keeping them continuously informed through the sending of corrective actions and the adequate follow-up to their needs and requirements related to the product.
- Responsible for Quality Goals.
- Train employees in Quality related themes.
- Report Quality statistics (Costs, occurrence, reasons, etc.) to Plant management and Leadership meeting.
- Suggest improvements to Leadership Meeting
- Perform and Supervise Continuous Improvement Process.
- Directly supervises the employees in the QA-Department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 12 months related experience with leading Quality Assurance department in the wire forming industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of Automotive Industry Standards.
- Familiar with IATF 16949, EN ISO 14001 requirements, and all other quality related requirements.
- Specific knowledge of PPAP 4th edition, 8D-Reporting / Problem solving techniques (5whys, fish bone, etc.), Core tools for QM like SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Inspection Plan are required.
- Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities includes training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees together with the shop supervisor; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to stand for long periods of time.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Walking on a level surface for periods throughout the day.
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to operate machine(s).
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
