Requirements
Essential Functions:
Applies advanced content development skills to searching, analyzing and synthesizing medical literature and clinical standards and guidelines. Incorporates medical evidence and consensus-based expert opinion in creating content.
Independently manages key milestones and deadlines associated with development projects. Assumes sign-off responsibility for assigned product deliverables for product release.
Recognizes and promotes opportunities for improvement to products and processes. Leads work groups to create or advance department process improvement initiatives or other activities to achieve operational success.
Collaborates with product design and operations teams to develop and re-structure clinical content for different users, applications and contexts. Translate complex source information into precise knowledge base requirements or functional enhancements.
Participates in designing analytic reports as necessary. If applicable to product line, provides and updates code lists and clinical rules for the Analytics department to use in claims analysis to identify care gaps and conditions identification.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of product design and operations processes, including proficiency with the program's software application(s).
Mentors new and current clinical employees to support department orientation, skill development, product and industry knowledge, and software application training.
Serves as an internal clinical resource to other functional areas such as: Senior management and sales team, Software development, Operations, Training, Analytics, and Program Communications to address product-specific clinical questions.
Crosstrains to clinical content in other products, as needed.
Participates in accreditation and quality improvement management and activities.
Regular, reliable attendance and timeliness
Requirements:
6+ years clinical nursing experience.
For some product lines, medical coding certification or equivalent coding or data analysis experience preferred.
3 - 5 years of condition management, case management, nurse advice line, utilization management, healthcare program administration, or clinical content development preferred.
Education:
Registered Nurse (RN), (with an active professional license) or equivalent healthcare experience is required for the full scope of content development. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) would be considered for code and data analysis work within content.
