Job Description

Parallel Employment Group is currently recruiting for a temporary Bilingual Human Resource Assistant for a local manufacturing company. The Bilingual Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resource Department including facilitating employee programs and data entry. This opportunity is scheduled to last 12-15 weeks.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain employment files, both electronically and hardcopy.
  • Enroll employees in benefits through the HRIS, create new employee HR and benefit file folders, and file employment documents.
  • Responsible for posting all open positions.
  • Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation.
  • Prepare and process employee HRIS transaction such as new hires, terminations, promotions and other job changes.
  • Review exceptions for appropriate coding and disciplinary follow up in accordance with the attendance policy.
  • Issues company property for hires, and retrieves property from terms: phones, badges, cards, laptops, locks, keys, etc.
  • Coordinate required employee meetings and training classes; ensure participants attend and complete classes in accordance with established training schedules. Follow up with Supervisors as needed.
  • Respond to basic employee questions about working conditions, pay, benefits, and other employment issues; refer complex questions and employee complaints to the HR Generalist/Manager.
  • Process and file verifications of employment and other legal documents.
  • Schedules monthly safety training and Coach Observations. Administers Alchemy training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including answering main phone and routing calls

Requirements

  • Zero to three years of entry level Human Resource experience
  • Minimum of one year of previous administrative experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to confidentially handle a variety of employee information.
  • Strong Microsoft Office literacy and ability to learn new applications quickly and thoroughly.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills is required.
