Job Description

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Assist in training new hire Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and delegating tasks to BHT’s.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining schedules including staff, holiday and outreach schedules.
  • Assist in reviewing and approving BHT timesheets in accordance with schedules.
  • Review team performance and provide feedback and suggestions during team meetings.
  • Provide shift coverage days, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled based on program need.
  • Verify client leave passes, monitor clients plan while on pass amp; check clients in/out as necessary.
  • Conduct breathalyzer and urinalysis testing as necessary.
  • Conduct random room searches (client amp; community rooms) in accordance with program procedures.
  • Review and update group materials as needed under the direction of the BHT Supervisor.
  • Responsible for completing all required paperwork according to agency standards.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Participate in peer support consultations as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Respond appropriately to the cultural differences of staff, clients, residents, and referral sources.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures amp; regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure, Education, amp; Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Previous experience managing employees and working in an adult residential treatment setting
  • Previous experience facilitating process groups and family sessions
  • Must be able to be awarded certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist within 5 years of hire.
