What is Naya?
Naya is a platform for companies and individuals to easily bring ideas to life. Through our unique process, creator network, and software suite, we work with customers like Google, Wayfair, OneWorkplace, Steelcase, and Herman Miller. We are Harvard Design Engineering grads who started Naya as our thesis and, although we are currently focussed on furniture, we aspire to change the way we design, create, and consume across products.
What is the role? (Design Freelancer)
You are a designer or design studio in the Naya ecosystem. This is a pivotal role in our process of co:creation. You turn a client’s idea into a conceptual design. You may engage with other technical designers or fabricators in the ecosystem to ensure that the design works. You may need to create sketches, white models, and renderings depending on the project. You will guide the client along Naya’s process and customer journey. It is important that you respond to the clients promptly even if you need more time to complete a deliverable. The role is contractual for each project and you will be assigned different projects depending on your interests, abilities, availability, and the budget assigned. You will also be able to choose design projects you want to work on. When assigned to a project, the timeline might vary from 1 week to 4 weeks. We will provide you with a detailed guide for our design process when you are onboarded.

Eye for Design. You know what is good design and follow designboom like it’s your job.
Obsessed with customer satisfaction. Can you feel their pain? Do you wake up in the middle of the night thinking about their experience? Do you take care that they enjoy this process?
Organized. Sticky notes, calendars, to-do lists, whatever. This job requires a lot of time management. Imaginative. Shower thoughts, idea lists, wake up in the middle of the night to sketch something?
Fast! A bias towards action and speed of executing will be paramount. You love to go through iterations upon iterations to get things right.
Collaborative. You are a team player. Getting feedback by calling friends, experts, or clients to work through problems is the norm for you. You’ll find the answer!
Builder. By nature you love to make things and have some fabrication experience.
Phygital. Your sandbox is industrial design and furniture design but you also love the digital world and technology.
