We’re looking to hire a lead front-end engineer to join us and focus on creating an interactive, delightful, and simple experience for our clients. The Role:
- Design, implement, test and maintain the backend components for our analytics platform.
- Participate in development with a DevOps mindset, keeping the system architecture in mind while building the individual pieces.
- Collaborate with data scientists, subject matter experts, product owners and other engineers to implement and release new features on a regular basis.
- Contribute towards improving the stability of our systems through best practices (code reviews, process improvements, incident resolution, etc.).
- Educate yourself and others, growing skillsets and exploring and evangelizing new technologies where appropriate.
Projects You Might Work On:
- Development of a RESTful API to support clients' integration of our product.
- Implementation of SAML and OAuth into our Rails application.
- Further development of new modules support our clients in the Private Equity and Hedge Fund spaces.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and leading technical projects of various sizes.
- Significant experience building full stack applications in Ruby on Rails including integrating frontends and APIs at scale.
- Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks (we use React) and standard frontend technologies (SCSS, CSS, HTML).
- Experience with relational data stores (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Comfort working with DevOps tools and platforms like Heroku, CircleCI and AWS.
- Passion for building code in a scalable, reliable and maintainable manner (utilizing automated tests and continuous integration).
- Comfortable working in an agile, yet pragmatic startup environment balancing quality, speed and practicality when building and releasing software.
- Strong organizational skills and a focus on developing processes support the long term growth of the product engineering group.
- A willingness to grow and learn in your role and help others grow in theirs. Everyone on our team is both a student and a teacher.
