ICEYE is the first commercial organization in the world to successfully launch miniaturized synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. Our earth observation data empowers governments and commercial industries to make better decisions. ICEYE’s satellites can see the world under any conditions; through darkness, clouds, and smoke.

We recently completed a Series C round investment bringing our total funding to $152M. The ICEYE team is 290 members strong representing over 40 nationalities worldwide in offices in the US, UK, Luxembourg, Poland, and our HQ in Finland. The Director of Government will join the Solutions organization within ICEYE. The Solutions team’s mission is to democratize the data produced by our satellites. Our initial area of focus is natural catastrophe use cases as they relate to both the insurance industry and the government sector. The work we do helps families when they are most in need and will soon save lives.

Candidates will most ideally live in Washington, DC. You will work closely with our non-US Regional Directors, US Sales Team, VP of Solutions, Solutions Architect, Marketing, and others to achieve our customer acquisition, service delivery, account growth, and account retention goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Acquire, onboard, and support key contracts within strategic accounts such as FEMA.
• Some candidates might qualify to provide pre-sales and post-sales support for the non-US Regional Directors and US Sales team within all non-Strategic Government Solutions accounts (e.g. the Japanese government).
• Some candidates might qualify to establish and manage ICEYE Solution’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR). Among other things, this program will influence the structure and support the success of our Insurance client’s CSR programs.
• Some candidates might qualify to foster Ramp;D engagements with universities, non-profits, and governments.

Your Attributes

• Experience in working with and relationships within FEMA.
• Strategic account acquisition and management
• Program development and management.
• Experience with, passion for, and reputation for helping governments respond to perils such as floods, wildfires, wind, and earthquakes.

Your Extra Attributes

• Existing relationships within the United Nations, World Bank, Red Cross, State of California, and similar organizations.
• Familiarity with remote sensing.
• Entrepreneurial drive and spirit.
