A2 is seeking a highly motivated Sr Materials Management Associate to join the team reporting to the Logistics Manager. In this role, you will be working with a cross-functional team to support clinical quality control and clinical manufacturing operations by managing the facilities’ incoming and outgoing materials and helping build the foundation of the Technical Operations team. To be successful, you must have experience working in a cGMP environment. This includes knowledge of receipt and inspection, storage, and shipping/distribution best practices. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams across quality, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Technical Operations group to ensure the integrity of cell therapy products.
  • Manage up-to-date cycle counting and inventory of raw materials, intermediates, and general supplies in all storage locations.
  • Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, supplies, and equipment for quality release.
  • Maintain disposition, expiration, and retest records for all GMP materials.
  • Lead the implementation of a selected inventory management system.
  • Safely use carts, pallet jacks, and furniture dollies to deliver vendor-delivered supplies to appropriate locations.
  • Communicate imminent or anticipated material shortages to management.
  • Participate in supplier qualification and coordination of supplier agreements.
  • Perform hands-on work maintaining a QC laboratory and ISO 8/Grade D cleanroom.
  • Check and respond to equipment monitoring systems.
  • Lead resolution of non-conformances/process deviations and execution of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in external and internal audits, as required.
  • Work independently and make sound judgments regarding work methods and tools.
  • Supervise external contractors for inventory control.
  • Work cross-functionally with preclinical discovery, translational sciences, clinical development, clinical operations, biometrics, regulatory and safety to execute on corporate goals.
  • This role requires the ability to work second shift, weekends, on-call hours and shutdowns.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or related discipline and 5+ years of cell therapy and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to execute tasks with attention to detail, problem solve, and multitask while paying attention to timelines and priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in basic Manufacturing and Quality Control lab functionality.
  • Fluency with cGMP manufacturing regulations and requirements.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic team player with a demonstrated history of flexibility.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate cross-functionally and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of forecasting and budgeting.
  • 2+ years of experience in materials control in a biopharmaceutical or other highly regulated setting is preferred.
