BURNCO is looking to add a skilled Plant Operator to our Colorado team in Fort Lupton. Someone who drives change and takes pride in their high-quality workmanship and their ability to get things done effectively and timely. What You Will Be Doing

  • Safely operate processing plant to produce concrete products
  • Complete aggregate test and analysis
  • Utilize various industrial equipment such as blender, loader, haul truck, skid steer, welder, hand tools, etc. to complete daily job requirements
  • Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed
  • Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
    • Walk plant regularly to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, review completed repairs, etc.
  • Complete required paperwork, identify plant improvement opportunities and escalate operational issues to Foreman
  • Keep current on safety instructions such as MSHA regulations and BURNCO safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Reality of the Job

  • You will work long hours during peak times
  • You will work most Saturdays, especially during peak season

Requirements

What We Would Like from You

  • Broad knowledge of handling heavy machinery equipment
  • Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
  • Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
  • Experience working in aggregate industry and welding a plus
  • Experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates successfully pass pre-employment testing that includes both drug (including Cannabis) and alcohol screening.

Bonus Eligibility: Annual Hour Bank Bonus Accrual

Hourly Rate Range: $21 - $23
