Job Description

Armstrong Flooring is seeking a Finance Senior Analyst. This position provides detailed analytical support in the coordination, consolidation, analysis, and forecasting of NA Business Unit to generate the Annual Plan, Business Updates, Strategic Plan, and monthly and quarterly outlooks. Populate and maintain various Annual Plan/Outlook/Business Update/Strategic Plan models, Profitability and Volume/Price/Mix analysis, and Cashflow modeling. Assist in preparing and consolidating presentation materials adding consistency in reporting. Support the International consolidation efforts and assist in maintaining and improving financial models. This position will provide analytical support to various areas in controlling spending, analyzing variances, challenging assumptions, and preparing various reports/analyses on a periodic basis.

Accuracy and thoroughness are required of this position to meet Global AFI financial commitments and objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining integrity and accuracy of diverse forecasting models, financial estimates, Transformation and Financial scorecards, and preparing quality presentations to Executives.

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Support ongoing maintenance of Annual Plan, Business Updates, Outlook and monthly financial models. Support the consolidation, analysis, challenging and forecasting of NA Business Unit and Corporate financial data in order to generate the annual plan, business updates, and quarterly outlooks.
  • Support ongoing maintenance of monthly financial forecasts by accurately updating actuals, preparing forecast load templates, and incorporating demand planning updates. Effectively communicates risks and opportunities to all stake holders and facilitates gap closing discussions.
  • Analyze North America and International Pamp;L Identifies trends and developments in the competitive environment and provides relevant insights that translate into margin expansion opportunities.
  • Lead SAP COPA Channel/Portfolio systems and analytics through an in-depth understanding of data sources, material, and customer master data. Owns reconciliation and integrity of reporting data and systems.
  • Effective planning requires an in-depth understanding of key business systems and processes, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of accounting/reporting trends. Suggest and implement improvements in the planning systems and processes to generate more accurate and timely data.
  • Timely preparation distribution: monthly packages, quarterly earnings and BOD deck and supporting materials. Maintains adequate/accurate supporting materials (Excel and PPT) that flow to the ELT presentations, ME, and Forecast CFO reviews.
  • Critical thinking and a continuous improvement mindset are needed to revamp and further develop existing financial models.
  • Multiple Ad Hoc Requirements.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Management related fields.
  • 3+ years of increasing financial experience, preferably in marketing, product management and sales finance.

We'll be excited if you have:

  • S4/HANA and or SAP preferred.
  • Experience managing BW or BI Power BI tools
