Drivers needed for an important public-awareness program that saves lives. No deliveries or passengers, you are driving through communities and distributing safety notices on select vehicles. While this is a temporary position for a specific project, there is a strong potential for long-term growth within this quickly-accelerating company for the right individuals.
We are scaling our driver fleet rapidly in every region of the USA. Our innovative programs use Carma Project's proprietary tech to identify vehicles affected by potentially life-threatening automotive recalls.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive the Carma Automotive Safety Team vehicle through designated areas and neighborhoods in Los Angeles County using either your own vehicle (mileage is reimbursed) or a company-owned vehicle.
- Communicate the urgency of the recall to vehicle owners by either leaving a safety recall notice on the vehicle, or by educating a vehicle owner through (masked) face-to-face interactions.
- Participate in pilot programs to test new technologies and strategies to notify car owners of safety recalls on their vehicles. #startup
- Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road.
- Other duties, including occasional overtime, as needed.
Requirements
- A current driver's license with a clean driving record (last three years), and can pass a background/drug test
- Access to a personal vehicle with active car insurance (when Carma Automotive Safety Team vehicles are not available)
- Ability to operate and learn new technologies
- Strong communication skills

Benefits
- Pay: Hourly. $20/hour base wage
- 40-hour work weeks: 40 hr/ week on average + overtime available
- Bonus: Performance-based bonus with no cap. Expected to add $2.5-7/hour on top of base pay.
- Travel opportunities: High-performing Safety Ambassadors may be given the opportunity to train new Safety Ambassadors in new markets across the country as the business scales.
- Advancement opportunities: High-performing Safety Ambassadors can join the team in full-time operations and strategy positions.
- Car, fuel, and operating expenses are all covered by the company, which provides the vehicle that Safety Ambassadors use while working. If personal vehicle is used, fuel and operating expenses are still covered by the company.
