System and Cloud Administrator

Job Description
Prominence is looking for a system administrator with experience across a range of skills, including configuration and management of reliable and secure infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure, system and software administration on Linux and Windows, advising on (virtual) hardware selection and scaling, and assisting with security assessments, recommendations and implementations. Our ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able to clearly document their work and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical peers.
Responsibilities
- Setup, configure and maintain software and services running on Windows and Linux
- Setup and maintain identity and access management (IAM) systems
- Help architect and administer reliable and secure AWS and Azure environments
- Make hardware recommendations based on technical project requirements
- Automate administration and maintenance tasks
- Maintain and improve reliability of all managed systems
- Help perform security reviews, make security recommendations and implement ongoing system updates to ensure the latest security best practices are being followed
Requirements
- Linux system administration
- Windows system administration
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure
- Familiarity with Active Directory and other IAM systems
- Experience with system monitoring, issue investigation, performance monitoring and performance tuning
- Comfortable making hardware recommendations, including virtual hardware
- Strong knowledge of security best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strongly Preferred
- Tableau Server administration
- Experience with HIPAA regulations
- Healthcare industry knowledge and experience
- Software development/programming experience
- Familiarity with SQL
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure data processing and data analysis technologies
- SQL Server management/administration
- Other database management/administration
- Experience with data modeling and data warehouse design
- Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Qlik Sense
- Experience working with version control software (git, svn, TFS)
- Experience with Informatica software
