TaskForce builds capacity and community for the most influential nonprofits, brands, and people taking on the most pressing challenges facing our state, our nation, and our world. TaskForce works primarily at the intersection of arts, culture, and social change and our work has resulted in some of the most highly acclaimed and influential public will campaigns of our time. In 2020, TaskForce launched the Into Action Lab, an initiative focused on organic content (GIFs, Memes, and ‘Art Interventions’). In under 10 months, the Into Action lab has seen over 45 billion organic views and 101 million shares and distributes content freely to over 200 leading progressive organizations and influencers.

TaskForce is excited to continue the second year of the TaskForce Summer Fellowship Program. Under the leadership of staff with expertise in the fields of social impact marketing, analytics, design, and partnerships management and organizing, Fellows will delve into projects with the ultimate goal of shaping public opinion and policy through creative culture. Highlights of the program include featured virtual monthly speakers and learning sessions.

TaskForce seeks a Fellow interested in expanding their design knowledge and expertise within the lens of cultural organizing and social impact. The Fellow will report to the Senior Designer with guidance from the Head of Design and provide support in graphic design for social assets, gif, static illustration, and meme creation.

Fellows can work remotely. This is a paid fellowship at $23/hr from June-August 2021. Hours are 10am-6pm EST, Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Design, illustration or animation background
• Interest in design trends and data research
• Knowledgeable about the digital space including social media, gifs and memes

• Impact of design on culture, politics and the digital space
• Intersection between art and social justice
