We are looking to add a Civil EIT for a client in Englewood Colorado.

Description

You will assist project managers and project engineers in a fast-paced environment with land development engineering projects. Candidates will be required to research local design standards as well as prepare engineering documents. Experience designing grading, roadways, storm water handling features, utility improvements /pipe networks, and cross-sections and profiles preferred.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Under general supervision, develop designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, engineering directives, and other data, according to client specifications
• Produce engineering plan sets amp; assist CADD Technicians in order to complete design details
• Submit documentation packages while following standard operating procedures
• Communicates with client staff and senior project management
• Completes calculations amp; cost estimates
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to aid in project design
• Review studies of geotechnical, environmental, and transportation reports to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact to the projects
• Compute grading requirements, water and sewer flow rates, hydrologic run-off rates, and hydraulic capacities of pipes and swales
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited school, with a minimum of 2 years direct expereince
• EIT certification required
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D preparing a variety of site plans, land surveys, and topographic maps
• Ability to prepare calculations for storm drain, water systems, and develop earth quantities
• Ability to prepare grading, utility, and roadway plans
• Ability to follow and apply CAD standards

Benefits

Direct Hire Opportunity:
$60,000 to $80,000 a year
