Job Description
Hawkins Point Partners is seeking a Senior Project Manager with prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems; specifically, LabVantage system implementations. The Senior Project Manager has direct ownership on leading the LabVantage system implementation by utilizing their experience in computer science, technologies, and strong domain knowledge. As part of leading the LabVantage system implementation they need to analyze the functional requirements collected by the Business Analyst, design and lead a team of application programmer to develop the solution. They also need to take part in the testing process and lead the team to solve any issues that may come from the quality analysts who will be testing the functionality before delivered to the customer. The candidate must have experience managing projects and will be accountable for project delivery as well as the overall planning, management and execution. The ideal person will manage outside vendors. Project Management duties including strong soft-skills, stakeholder project charter, determine project scope, project plan, develop schedule, execute plan and mitigate project risk.
Requirements
- 5 years + Project Management experience within Life Sciences
- 10+ years’ experience of hands on IT Project Delivery and working knowledge of IT systems.
- Working knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems, specifically LabVantage
- 5+ years’ experience implementing complex, cross-functional projects solutions.
- Experience writing stakeholder project charter, determine scope, develop project plan and schedule, execute plan, mitigate project risk.
- Manage concurrent efforts and maintain a weekly project status.
- Monitor resources, either internal from associated IT Department or external are committed to meet project needs.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to committed scope, approved budget and targeted dates.
- PMP certification is a plus
