About us

At LVIS, our objective is to innovate how neurological diseases are diagnosed and treated through advanced brain network analysis tools. LVIS is a lean team of science researchers, clinical researchers, engineers, and designers from a variety of impressive backgrounds.

The design team was initiated in 2020 and has focused on building the foundation for LVIS’s first of many planned products. As a Senior UX/UI designer, you will apply principles of design thinking to create intuitive interfaces that directly solve the needs of Physicians and healthcare professionals. We are looking for a motivated and driven designer who thinks deeply about problems embraces ambiguity and complexity, cares deeply about craftsmanship, and is excited to join a team with ambitious goals for the future of neuro-imaging.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate closely with the Design Lead, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide proven solutions to product requirements.
  • Identify potential blockers and gaps in the user experience to be discussed in key decision-making discussions.
  • Lead the preparation of artifacts needed for ad-hoc user interviews.
  • Independently facilitate contextual user interviews and user testing to validate concepts and features in the product pipeline.
  • Iteratively integrate user feedback and business requirements to improve the user experience.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages with user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation of design deliverables.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Design Lead to advocate and improve design processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an individual contributor role, on a Product Design team for desktop or mobile.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in the HQ, Palo Alto office.
  • A strong portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Interaction, User Research, and Ideation.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • High level of initiative and a make it work ethos to successfully bring a product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision.
  • Experience building B2B, Enterprise, and/or cloud service commercial products.
  • Experience working iteratively within a lean team in a dynamic, rapid growth environment.
  • Proactively seeks and implements feedback from team members.
  • Expert familiarity and use of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an aptitude for visual design and illustration.
  • Experience working with overseas teams.
  • Experience designing in the healthcare space.
