SOPHiA GENETICS is looking for an experienced Director of Commercial Marketing to add value to growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing commercial marketing efforts. Candidates will keep abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to executive management with the ultimate goal of promoting and expanding the company’s commercial activity to drive revenue and accelerate growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead an international team of Product Marketing and Field/Events Managers.
- Oversee the development and execution of global commercial strategies, product launch campaigns, lead generation campaigns, and trade events to contribute to the company’s commercial funnel, drive revenue, and accelerate growth.
- Analyze and report on industry-leading and competitive commercial marketing strategies.
- Act to acquire new customers via all marketing channels and manage strategic client relationships (new and existing) in account-based marketing (ABM) settings.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of commercial marketing activities to drive incremental process improvements and channel mix optimization.
- Drive the development of strategic annual marketing plans, partnering with Product Management, Sales, and global Marketing team members.
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with all internal stakeholders. Collaborate with and influence diverse, cross-functional teams globally (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.).
- Contribute to the overall digital marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention via online channels.
- Ensure product and solution message consistency across all corporate channels.
- Assist in setting corporate financial targets and annual marketing budgets.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience as a Commercial Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Communications, or Marketing Communications Director within the Life Sciences industry.
- BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field; MBA a strong plus.
- In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis, as well as a solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
- Team player with excellent organizational and leadership skills, combined with outstanding communication and time-management abilities.
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with project management, CRM, CMS, MAS, and related marketing tools, including Google Analytics, a strong plus. HTML and related coding language acumen also a plus.
