We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer who has a passion for architecting and building great software and is excited to be an important part of building the next great Fintech company in Austin. You will be responsible for building robust, high-quality, and scalable solutions to expand and improve CVEX’s trading platform. As a senior member of our development team you will work first hand with business and product to take specs from concept to reality.
What you’ll do:
- Produce modular, well-tested, and documented code
- Develop and support CVEX single page applications in React using TypeScript, GraphQL APIs, backend services as AWS Lambdas and data stores using Serverless and RDBs.
- Collaborate on ideas and think through problems with the engineering team
- Contribute to application architecture with an eye on scalability, performance, availability, and security
- Publish, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot code throughout a CI/CD distributed application deployment pipeline
- Partner with our product, design, and CX teams
Who you are:
- You’ll need deep JavaScript experience and a history of building performant Node.js applications and get excited about utilizing ES6+ features
- You have a passion for developing high-quality, well-tested code
- You’re always refactoring your code to be cleaner and using build tools to optimize performance
- You have experience developing and debugging applications in a large-scale production environment
- You’re familiar with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing and know when each is appropriate
- You have experience with Github and Agile Development
- You’re knowledgeable in deploying to and monitoring applications in AWS or other cloud infrastructure
- You’re comfortable communicating technical concepts to cross-functional teams
- You make others better through code reviews, thorough documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years relevant experience developing scalable software in a fast growing organization.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring a sponsor Visa.
- Role if for a full-time employee. Contract companies or individuals will not be considered.
- Position is located in Austin, TX. Remote employment will not be considered for this position.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working in an early stage, venture backed startup.
- Fintech, capital markets, trading systems experience a plus.
- An active GitHub profile or other public code portfolio.
