Job Description
Gantri is looking for a robotics leader to join us as our Director of Manufacturing Technologies (Hardware Engineering). The goal of this team is to develop defensible, efficient digital manufacturing technologies for our factories. It would include building custom hardware, modifying and improving vendor hardware, creating low-waste automation-driven manufacturing workflows, and developing new sustainable materials that can be digitally manufactured. The team will collaborate closely with our production and industrial design teams for rolling out these technologies, and software engineering for integration with our MES.
As the Director of Manufacturing Technologies, you'll be in charge of the executing our strategy and hiring the best people for the job. You'll be responsible for hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering and materials sciences.

Requirements
Skills and experience
- Proficiency in designing, building and testing hardware systems.
- Deep expertise in Mechanical design with an optional understanding of precision/manufacturing engineering
- Experience with at least one CAD software system including but not limited to: Autodesk, Solidworks or Fusion3D
- Experience with manufacturing engineering and working with production to improve yield and efficiency
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a high degree of ownership and drive
- A passion for design and manufacturing
- Experience in 3D printing or other additive processes preferred
Qualifications
- MS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent from a top university
- 10+ years of experiences designing complex products or machineries
