BURNCO is looking to add a skilled Haul Truck Operator to our Colorado team in Milliken, Colorado. Someone who drives change and takes pride in their high-quality workmanship and their ability to get things done effectively and timely. Requirements
What You Will Be doing
- Operate heavy equipment such as loader and excavator to dig pits
- Load aggregate material onto haul trucks
- Manage fuel and oil inventory for equipment, maintain tanks daily
- Perform routine inspections on equipment, complete minor equipment maintenance, submit work orders as needed
- Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements
- Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed
- Keep current on safety inspections such as MSHA regulations and BURNCO safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Reality of the Job
- If applicable You might work long hours during peak times
- You will work most Saturdays, especially during peak season
What We Would Like from You
- Broad knowledge of operating heavy equipment
- Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
- Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
- Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Experience working in aggregate industry a plus
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
