Job Description

Brown Harris Stevens is looking for a full-time Copywriter! Brown Harris Stevens is one of the largest and most respected real estate brokerages in the country, with a global partnership network. This year Brown Harris Stevens is looking to redefine its marketing with a modern approach and brand-focused content team. We believe that finding a home is far more than a transaction - it can be a defining moment of your life. With our new marketing leadership we are looking to completely revamp the messaging and content that we produce and create a brand that makes the world as excited as we are about our industry.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proof marketing and advertising content seen by large audiences
  • Write and manage content for our Blog
  • Write promotional ad copy for agent business development
  • Write and edit agent biographies
  • Write and edit high-end property descriptions
  • Maintain and handle posting on several of our social media accounts
  • Coordinate weekly internal newsletter production
  • Brainstorm content ideas for corporate email, social, blog, and internal marketing
  • Meet with Agents to go over social media strategy

Requirements

  • Experience working with content management systems, Office suite, and Google Workspace
  • Proven content writing and proofreading skills (portfolio of written work)
  • Exceptional writing ability and grasp of English, with an understanding of how to engage readers across content types and mediums (blog posts, social media captions, agent bios, newsletter copy)
  • Familiarity with all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Proficiency in AP Stylebook and ability to adopt brand voice and style
  • Organized and meticulous in managing deadlines and coordinating projects
  • Highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and fosters collaborative relationships
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects
  • Familiarity with NYC neighborhoods and culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Writing, Marketing/Communications, or other writing-heavy field
  • Experience working in real estate marketing and/or at a luxury brand is a big plus, as is experience working in a client or account service environment but not required.
  • 3+ years experience
