Civil CAD Designer

Job Description
- Develop preliminary civil/electrical/structural layouts amp; design packages with direction from CS Energy team
- Assist team in developing PV layouts with the directions from engineers that conform to ASCE, NEC, amp; IEEE standards.
- Use GIS software to obtain required site images and incorporate them into project drawings.
- Work with Existing CS Energy Standards. Interpret and/or reverse-engineer Client’s Standards to apply the methodology in CS Energy design.
- Manage layers, Xrefs, line weights amp; create blocks/symbols
- Update Permit, Construction, amp; As-Built drawings based on design changes and markups.
- Coordinate project requirements with surveyor, subcontractor, and vendor shop drawings for the use in CS Energy drawings.
Requirements
- BS degree, Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in CAD
- 2 years of AutoCAD experience designing Civil or Solar design packages
- Proficient in modeling software as well as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, amp; Solar Design is a Plus
- Experience with PVcase is a Plus
- Team player with the ability to interact and multitask with multiple project team members
- High attention to detail
- Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills
- Experience with Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, amp; Solar Design is a Plus
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power point
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
