Job Description
Endeavor is a global non-profit organization that supports and accelerates high-growth, scaling entrepreneurs. Originally founded in Chile and Argentina in 1997 and now operating in 40 markets and 65 cities around the world, Endeavor launches in communities where only a few entrepreneurs and executives have experience successfully scaling businesses. Endeavor brings together the top entrepreneurs, executives, and investors into a local board of directors. We work to identify the most promising entrepreneurs building high-growth and scaling businesses and support them in their scaling efforts.
Endeavor has replicated this model in Colorado, building a board with some of the most successful founders (Dan Caruso, Eric Remer, Eric Roza, John Street), executives who have scaled revenue into the billions (Mike Fries, Teresa Taylor, Kent Thiry, Tim Craycroft), and top tier investors (David Cohen, Brad Feld, Valeria Alberola). Endeavor Colorado launched in September 2019 and has selected 8 entrepreneurs leading 6 high-growth scaling businesses, including, BillGO, Quantum Metric, SonderMind, CyberGRX, Everside Health and WorkIT Health. These entrepreneurs are a part of our global network and receive our full support as they scale their businesses and create an outsized impact on the Colorado economy and their industries.
Endeavor is seeking a highly motivated, early-career professional to join our team in Colorado. We are seeking a team member who is passionate about entrepreneurship and believes in Endeavor’s mission to support entrepreneurs to catalyze growth and change in our region. The ideal candidate also has an interest in marketing and experience with social media as this position will be responsible for executing Endeavor Colorado’s social media, email, and event marketing strategies.
This is a unique opportunity, as this person will work closely with our board (some of the most successful and influential people in the State of Colorado) and will work closely with the most promising entrepreneurs in Colorado.
How you’ll make an impact
As an individual contributor, you’ll network, build direct relationships with, and work to support entrepreneurs in our region. You’ll work closely with our ESG Manager and MD to support them in all aspects of our operations, most importantly supporting the entrepreneurs we work with.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
We provide a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment for someone who enjoys challenges and is a self-starter. The Associate, Entrepreneur Selection amp; Growth position has a unique opportunity to take a significant role in selecting and supporting Endeavor Entrepreneurs to help build the ecosystem of entrepreneurship Colorado. They will have a pivotal role in developing Endeavor’s regional brand and creating connectivity across our markets. Endeavor staff members also have a unique opportunity to travel the world and interact with some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate executives.
1. Selection of Highest Potential Entrepreneurs· Support entrepreneurs through the selection process through mentor research and outreach, meeting coordination, and detailed note-taking· Prepare and train entrepreneur candidates for the selection panels· Prepare for and participate in local and international selection events· Draft high-quality entrepreneur and company profiles used throughout the selection process· Oversee the upkeep of operational data on candidate pipeline and selected entrepreneurs.
2. Acceleration of entrepreneur impact through Endeavor services· Help selected Endeavor Entrepreneurs grow faster and more effectively by proactively managing their required services(Access to Capital, Mentors, Markets and Talent)· Anticipate the needs of local selected entrepreneurs· Contribute to the creation of new entrepreneur services where required in the local Atlanta market
3. Management and execution of Endeavor’s marketing strategy. Execute Endeavor Colorado’s marketing campaigns on a regular basis (e.g., social media, newsletters, events). Provide input, feedback and analysis on Endeavor’s marketing strategies
Requirements
- Strong interest and passion for business, finance, entrepreneurship, and/or international development
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. This role involves a lot of writing.
- Experience with Social Media (personal use included)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Relevant work or internship experience in consulting, entrepreneurship, venture capital, Investment Banking, marketing or finance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- A roll up the sleeves attitude: is willing to go from interacting with executives and mentors
