Summary/objective
The Medical Billing/Intake Registration Temp reports to the VP of Revenue Cycle Management and is primarily responsible for accepting referrals and onboarding new patients

- Accept referrals from facilities
- Data entry of all new patient face sheets in to EMR system
- Verify and investigate insurance coverage
- Retrieve any late or missing face sheets
- Confirm provider empanelment with Payers
- Work with facilities and providers to ensure timely submission of all documentation and signatures through the DocuSign application
Requirements
Competencies and skills
- 1-3 years in healthcare registration and/or billing
- Knowledge of payers - Medicare/Medicaid preferred
- Experience of EMR systems
- Excellent phone skills involving calling providers and facilities
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PDFs
- Self-driven and competitive, with ability to work well within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge
Commitment to detail orientation, responsiveness and follow through

Work environment
- May be remote to start due to COVID-19 pandemic, with a goal to return to our Hamilton, NJ office by Summer 2021
Required education and experience
- Associates degree
- Familiarity with medical terminology, intake procedures
- Experience in the medical or insurance field
